We were on our own for lunch on Monday. There had been a mention at breakfast that a local restaurant, 290 Maine St was supposed to be pretty good. Bearing that in mind, Amy, her friend Carol, and I headed out to find the place.
Somewhat cleverly, and also slightly challenging, the restaurant’s name is also it’s street address. And we nearly went to someone’s private residence for lunch before realizing the street was named for the state. The next challenge was possibly one of our own making – we thought the restaurant was in Poland, but it was actually two towns over.
So yeah, we drove to Norway for lunch.

A funny thing about the town names in that area is that many of them are named for places in Europe. So, on the way to get lunch, we also passed through Paris and Oxford (comma rules, strictly enforced.)

Lunch had to be take out so we could get back to hear Michelle Lamphere talk about The Butterfly Route, but it was still an enjoyable adventure.
